Giselle's poem, "Pool Cover" was published in the 20th Anniversary Awards issue of The Comstock Review

Pool Cover

Lookit, the rain's coming,
you and I crashed and will crash again a given.
shut the door.  shut it hard.
the things we say do not matter without gravity.
secrets in the kitchen towels and under car-
peting and it'll all come to mean
something and this chapter will slam on
                                                                     the brakes
and the dice and the sign of a year gone
by, gone bad, in the underground pool
thinking it just needed a cover
a plastic cover, to keep it all in.
the pinecones could bounce off it and the
truths could roll to the middle.
